Abstract

School bullying is a relational issue that disrupts students' sense of safety, learning process, character development, and psychological well-being. This community service activity aims to strengthen anti-bullying literacy and foster a safe and comfortable school culture through Islamic value-based socialization at SMP IT Ar-Ridha Pantai Cermin. Held on August 5, 2026, the event was organized through a collaboration between the Islamic Education Management Study Program of Institut Jam’iyah Mahmudiyah Langkat and the school. An educative-participatory approach was implemented through preparation stages, material presentation, discussions, reinforcement of reporting procedures, and a joint commitment pledge. The topics presented covered forms of bullying, its impact on the school climate, the role of bystanders, Islamic values, and a reporting system that is prompt, confidential, and educational. Results indicate the establishment of a shared understanding that shifts the perception of bullying from harmless jokes, clarifies the active role of bystanders, and provides a clear response mechanism. Key outputs include structured educational materials, a five-step response procedure, and an anti-bullying pledge. This socialization is expected to serve as an entry point for a comprehensive school strategy involving character habituation, victim support, perpetrator rehabilitation, parental involvement, and routine evaluations.
