Abstract

The development of the 21st-century workforce requires individuals to possess essential soft skills, including communication, teamwork, critical thinking, adaptability, and digital communication. Learners at Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SKB) 16 face challenges in developing these competencies, particularly for digital and workplace communication. This Community Service Program aimed to strengthen learners’ employability skills through 21st-century soft skills training integrated with digital communication. The program applied a skill-based learning approach grounded in andragogical principles through orientation, training, practical activities, digital technology, mentoring, evaluation, and follow-up. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test questionnaires, observations, and reflective interviews, then analyzed descriptively using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed improvements in participants’ understanding of soft skills, communication confidence, ability to use digital platforms effectively, and awareness of digital communication ethics. The program also produced a digital communication training module and provided experiential learning opportunities for students through the MBKM scheme. Program sustainability is supported through continued mentoring by SKB tutors and small learning groups.
